Management, IPOs and transactions in the logistics sector

The most demanding of top-level management positions in the world's leading logistics companies have made Cornelius Geber one of the most significant experts in this sector. International transactions in the field of logistics, as well as diverse experience in day-to-day business operations, shape his profile.

Even the very first stages of his career laid the foundations for Cornelius Geber's high level of specialisation: from the outset, he held positions of responsibility in which he dealt with the challenges and issues that large global logistics companies have to face. Managerial functions in logistics and transport, product development, supply chain management, corporate finance, and marketing and sales enabled him to develop a holistic view of the companies.

His first major step in terms of the leadership of global companies was the position of Member of the Management Board at Kühne & Nagel Management AG. A few years later, Cornelius Geber was appointed Member of the Management Board of Kühne & Nagel International AG, one of the world's leading logistics companies. There, he assumed operational responsibility for around 50% of global group turnover. During this time, he also became Chairman of the Board at Kühne & Nagel AG & Co. (Hamburg/Bremen) and assumed responsibility for the Germany and Africa regions.

Cornelius Geber had a decisive involvement in the IPO of Kühne & Nagel International AG – including the private equity investment in Stute Verkehrs GmbH, Bremen, of which he was Chairman of the Advisory Board for several years. Prior to this, he was Chairman of the Group Management Board at Harry W. Hamacher Spediteur GmbH. In this role, he had responsibility for the restructuring and sale of the company to the Japanese Footwork group.
